Your kinda' out of luck if you want to find a *NEW* laptop for free or cheap. The cheapest you could find would be a Pentium 2 or 3; I use a old Hitachi Vision Book 7755 series that was an old company laptop. I was able to install and run Windows Xp Pro. I mainly use Remote Desktop. I'd suggest using an older laptop if your going to try experiments. If you need to be at your desktop, use remote desktop or ultra VNC
The day after thanksgiving you could probably get a good one for cheap. or maybe do a layaway
there is always a price for anything you want. But I tell you what the easiest way to get a good laptop cheap is to go to someplace like a park in L. A. Chicago, or New York City near a bunch of big offices, and find some head who will run up snatch one from someone on their lunch break just checking their e - mail and investment portfolio, for a hundred bucks. Then all you have to do is reformat the hard drive and get a new power cord and your set
